Community Arts

The Eastgate offers many opportunities for education and participation in the arts, both inside the building and elsewhere.  Each week there are regular classes for children and adults at the Eastgate, and from time to time there are special workshops and courses which are advertised in the bi-monthly brochure. 

Over the last few years the Eastgate’s outreach co-ordinator has devised a series of innovative arts-based projects in collaboration with Peebles High School and several of the primary schools in the Borders area.  It is hoped that future projects may also reach out to many more community groups, and involve a variety of art forms.
