TORTOISE IN A NUTSHELL presents Fisk

“Many men go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not just fish they are after” Henry David Thoreau

A fisherman in a tiny boat is sailing through immense turbulent seas. He looks out as the darkness looms and prepares himself to leap… but before he can jump out, something else jumps in.

Fisk is a story of a man, a fish and the unexpected impact they have upon one another.

Told using puppetry, movement, intricate design and an original soundtrack, it examines themes of dependence and desolation, the lengths we can go to in order to escape from ourselves.   It also shows how we can find joy in even the deepest and darkest depths.

Fisk is a new international co-production between Teater Katapult and Scottish award-winning theatre company, Tortoise in a Nutshell. It is presented in association with Macrobert Arts Centre, Stirling and is a show for everyone who loves a strong, simple story, beautifully performed.
